Twist and Fade Effect in Fireworks

This tutorial demonstrates how to make use of the Command option to convert simple images to swirling, fading, dazzling graphics. Playing around with the four properties (steps, spacing, rotation and opacity) brings out the creativity in you

Step 1
Paste a clipped image on your canvas.

Step 2
With the image selected click on Commands>Creative > Twist and Fade

Step 3
Now, the Twist and Fade window is displayed.

Step 4
The main menu has the following options.

Steps - number of steps to produce

Spacing - spacing between each step

Rotation - degrees rotation between each step

Opacity - set the starting opacity of the image

Drag the sliders to set the values and view the live preview below.

The Options Menu has the options :

random effect - creates a random effect to the different steps, convert to symbol - converts the final creation to a graphic symbol, fade opacity - changes the fade opacity between the number of steps

Step 5
I’ve given the following values : steps - 4. spacing - 14, rotation - -360 and opacity - 100. The Fade Opacity under Options should be checked.

Step 6
Isn’t this a wonderful effect! The star design, was started off by placing two stars of colors blue and red. Place the second star over the other one with a slight rotation and try it with different values for the main options.
