step 1

First, Start off by making a 400 x 400 square.

step 2

In this step, Your going to hit Shift + D to make photoshop have its default colors. Then, Your going to go to Filter >> Render >> Fibers. Change your settings to the ones below.

step 3

Now, Go to Image >> Rotate Canvas >> 90 degrees CW. Your Canvas should look like the one below.

step 4

In this step, Go to Filter >> Blur >> Radial Blur and change all the settings to the ones below. When this step is done, Hit Ctrl + F to repeat

step 5

It should look like this

step 6

Now, Go to Image >> Adjustments >> Auto Color. It should look like this.

step 7

Copy the layer 3 times.( Should have 4) With the 4 layers, Name each of them 1-4

step 8

For Step 8, Your going to only make 1 layer visible at a time. Starting with layer number 1, Go to Filter >> Distort >> Twirl. Put the twirl affect on to a number of your choice. (In mine I used 206)

step 9

Repeat Step 8 with layers 2 3 and 4. With each layer, Make it a different amount of Twirl. Try to have 2 of them with a positive twirl and 2 of them with a Negative. Once this is done, You should have 4 layers with different twirls

step 10

Now is when we start to add the color. Go up to Image >> Adjustments >> Hue/Saturation. Make sure you check the “Colorize” Box. Now is where I pass the torch to you and let you choose your own colors. For each of the layers, repeat this step. Try to make each layer a different color. ** Remember, Every time you open up the Hue/Saturation menu, Check that box

step 11

My layers ended up as the ones below. Now, For layers 2 3 and 4, you need to set the options for that layer as ” Lighten” Only do this for layers 2 3 and 4. As you do this to each one, You should see your piece beginning to take shape.

step 12

This is my final. Thank you and Enjoy.
