Here I’ll show you one way to make a cool flyer.

This is the pic i used to make my flyer.
Very cute couple :)

since the couple is standing it would me good to make a 6(L) x 3(W) inch vertical flyer.
So i chopped off some portion from the right side of the image. this is what i got after the chop

Next step is to sharpen the image.
Duplicate the background layer; name it to sharp
Go to Filter >> Other >> High pass and apply 5 px radius (change as per your need).
Now change the layer blending mode to overlay.

Now we blur the background so that our couple stand out from the background.
i used the quick mask mode to select the background.
Click the quick mask mode button from the tool bar select a soft brush and start brushing the area u want to select, after u brushed all the area select the quick mask mode once again. if you are using a older version u need to click the edit in standard mode button. This will select the couple, so invert (ctrl+shift+I) the selection to select the background
Now select the background and apply Gaussian blur to it.

Even though our couple is highlighted i am still not happy with the color combination.
So i apply adjustment layer until i get the desired color.
in this image i have added 3 adjustment layers
(purple gradient map, b
lue gradient map with overlay blend mode &
channel mixer only for the background)

Now we have a picture perfect image. Time for some additional effects.
now we add a wire arround the couple. with the help of pen tool draw a spiral arround the couple like this

After this we fill the path with brush tool.
create a new layer & name it to wire.
select the small starburst brush with 50px size & dark red color.
in brush palette - brush tip size option change the spacing to 1 %
select the direct selection tool (A), right click on the path & select stroke path, a stroke path dialogue box will pop up, select brush & say ok.
Once u have applied brush to the path; erase out alternative brush strokes from the couple (something like i have done). this will give the effect as if the wire is bound around the couple

apply some styles to the wire layer.
inner shadow

outer glow

Gradient Overlay

After applying the styles convert this layer to smart object.
Right click on the layer and select convert to smart object option

Make the wires even more prettier….
apply the steel blue gradient, before we apply we make some changes to the gradient.
click on the new fill or adjustment layer and select gradient map. in the gradient map dialogue box click on the gradient this will open another gradient editor dialogue box.
change all the blue color to red. by clicking on the small color stop box.

remember in the beginning of the tutorial i said i am gonna make a flyer.
so lets add some more to this pic. i add the text love
then with pen tool add single path in the text
convert path to brush stroke
apply styles
convert to smart object
apply steel red gradient
(the above steps must be done like we did the wire layer)

Finally we put a black band in the top and add suitable title that goes with the pic.
My title is ‘Bound By Love.’
But i think this image will also go for a tourism related title… try ur creative ideas
