Learn how to draw a shape in sand the easy way.
step 1
For start open in photosop a nice “sand picture” like this one

Now from menu tool choose custom shape and draw a shape (whatever you like, for this tutorial I draw a wheel)->right click on the mouse button and rasterize layer .Set blend mode to “Overlay”.Important : use only black shape for best result

With shape layer selected:Image->Adjustments->Brightness/Contrast. Set Brightness to +100 and Contrast to -100. In this moment you will not be able to see your shape, no problem :)

Now we gonna see the shape, just do what I tell you to do :) go to Layer->Layer style and choose Blending option.Mark Inner Shadow with settings see it above,Don’t pres OK button

Next step is to mark Bevel and Emboss and choose settings like in above picture

We are almost done one more step: go to Image->Adjustments->Hue/Saturation or pres Cltr+U and set Lightness between +44 and+50 (this depends by sand color). I set the Lightness to+48 but you can play until you get the best result
