In this easy tutorial I will show you how to clip an image into any selection. In this example I’ll use text.
step 1

Open an image in PS 7 or PS 8.

step 2
Use text tool to insert some text as “db20″.

Press Ctrl on keyboard and left-click on “db20″, do it simultaneously.

Now, select the background (from layer palette). press Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V.
You will see a new layer called Layer 1 gets added in the layer palette.

step 5
Click on the “eye symbol” beside “db20″ and “background” in the layer palette to remove the “eye symbol” in order to make “db20″ and “background” invisible.
Only the desired result i.e., Layer 1 remains visible.
