In this tutorial, I will show you how to transform a real photo into a cartoon style image. I used a photo of Robert De Niro.

We take the real photo for start to making cartoon.

And this part we will start to change tihs photo.
First we must set photo’s saturation to grey.Shortuct is:CTRL+SHİFT+U
Then change the light degrees.i explained it on photo.

After these changing ,we use to highpass because we need only Black and grey lines on his face’s photo. (FİLTER+Other+Highpass)
When you do it.Change the radius to 36,0 .And agree this change.

Now we will duplicate Layer 1 .And change the new layer’s style.Select (COLOUR DODGE) there.İ explained that on photo.

Now we set the lights again.Because this effect changed photo’s light.And we need to black lines as dark.İ put photos in two different position.First is without setting light.Second is after the setting lights.İ explained this part on photo.

This part is most difficult part in this tutorial.Because you must paint with white colour the realistic lines on face.İ mean dont paint face’s main lines.You can paint shadows.This photo have too many shadow.And if you dont paint this photo cant be seems as cartoon.After the painting use Dodge tool.And put shadow to line of face.İ finished this photo.İf you try too long times.You can successful.
